    Site Area: 160 acre K-12 Campus: Approximately 100 acres for BVW and the District Baseball, Softball and Soccer Stadiums, 40 acres for Pleasant Ridge Middle School, and 20 acres for Cedar Hills Elementary.
    Number of Parking Spaces : 980 regular and 37 accessible spaces on the high school site

Learning Communities

  • According to research, a rigorous curriculum balanced with a strong sense of community enhances learning. Blue Valley West will give students the opportunities to feel connected to a group of teachers as well as one another. Unique learning communities are formatted by scheduling strategies, grouping of teachers by course/grade levels, flexible learning areas and an advisement program.

Block Schedule Information

  • Blue Valley West offers classes in 90 minute periods. Students will have four classes daily alternating with two days of three classes with Academic Resource Time. One day a week, the students will attend all seven classes and Advisement. This modified block scheduling will allow more in-depth instruction and flexibility for effective use of class time.
