The purpose of the Technology Advisory Committee is to provide the Blue Valley School District with feedback from a variety of interested persons willing to study topics and make suggestions or recommendations that will benefit all students. Reports from the meetings are provided to the Board of Education during their regular meetings. Picture of Ipads

It is important that members of the committee are willing to consider topics from the whole district perspective. Our work is focused on the support of technology infrastructure development as well as education technology implementations and their effect on all staff and students.

Specifically, committee members will be asked:

    • Do the efforts support the implementation of the district's strategic plan?

    • Do the efforts meet the needs of the majority of learners?

    • Do the efforts reflect what students need to know and be able to do?

    • Do the efforts support the development of the technology infrastructure?

    • Do the efforts provide cost-effective and timely solutions?

    Committee membership:

    • Parents and patrons from each area of the district

    • Teachers and administrators

    • Members of Education Services departments

    • Three members of the Board of Education

    Committee responsibilities:

    • Suggest topics for discussion

    • Learn about technology implementations in Blue Valley

    • Participate in discussions, share information and ask questions

    • Represent other patrons, parents and staff members

    • Provide feedback that assists staff and the Board of Education

Committee appointments for patron member positions are for a two-year term.

  • All committee meetings are on Thursdays from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. in the District Office Board Conference Room.
