NO PLACE LIKE HOME
The Blue Valley School District spans 91 square miles. Each school has its own attendance area. The staff members at all Blue Valley schools are here to help guide new district families through the registration process for the school in their attendance area, providing information on health and immunization requirements, transportation options and placement for special needs students.
Blue Valley schools are open to students who have legal residence in the district and do not currently accept student transfers from other districts. If a family moves out of the district during the school year, their children may complete that semester's work at their current schools. If a family has purchased, rented or is building a new home in the district, the children may register in district schools, if there is documentation that the move will be completed before the end of that semester.
The district's outer boundaries have been established by the state legislature. School attendance areas are reviewed by the Facility Planning Committee, a Board of Education advisory committee, and may change, based on information from that committee.
