My name is Emily Grajkowske and I am eager to begin my sixth year of teaching at Cedar Hills Elementary. I started my career here seven years ago as a paraprofessional in the fourth grade. I would like to start off this year by introducing myself, so that you might know a little bit about me.
I grew up in Overland Park, Kansas and am a graduate of Kansas State University. Before I began my professional career in education, I followed a lifelong dream of moving to New York City. I moved to the city to pursue a career in the performing arts, and fortunately, was able to have my dreams come to life. After two years of traveling with a dance company and developing many lifelong experiences, I was drawn back to my family and friends in Kansas. I currently teach dance at a local studio, which keeps my passion for dance alive :)
Now let's switch gears. Parents, your child has a wonderful year ahead of them. A year that will build on personal strengths to ensure success. I'm looking forward to seeing each and every one of you. My door is ALWAYS open, so feel freel to email, call, or stop by if you have any questions.
I also love for parents to volunteer to help out with classroom tasks, whenever possible! If you have time, or would like to volunteer, Cedar Hills, and of course I, would greatly appreciate it!
Please read the weekly newsletter that will be emailed to you. Our weekly update will keep you informed throughout the year as well. It will always contain the most up-to-date information to ensure your child's success for this school year.
I am very excited for this school year to begin. We have an incredible learning commuity, and I know that by working together, great things will continue to happen!
